Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, and to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with procedures approved by the NDT and standards and procedures directed by the engine maintenance manual.
Properly use and interpret the applicable codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT methods used at MEPC and as required by the engine manufacturer.
Trains new NDT employees on all aspects of the NDT department and to ensure they follow all safety precautions that NDT inspectors must understand and apply during all phases of operation and maintenance to ensure personal safety and health, as well as protection of MEPC property when performing Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Electromagnetic testing.
Ensures all NDT personnel are complying with Quality Maintenance and product safety and security throughout the NDT processes to ensure the highest quality product for the customer
Inspects all NDT equipment and personal protection equipment daily to ensure serviceability.
Ensures all equipment used for inspections or equipment used for calibration, are calibrated at the required scheduled interval either in-house or by an approved outside source, have current calibration sticker/tag, and be documented.
