Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs the receiving inspection of all parts received and ensures shipping documents and certificates are complete and correct to ensure the timely processing of parts and material through the system.
- Ensures the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Ensures the plan for the workload through receiving inspection and Bench Inspection is complied with.
- Ensures that periodic checks are performed on Bench Inspection tools and that the calibration of the precision measurement test equipment is current and calibrated to approved standards by an approved source
- Ensures that rejected and unserviceable parts are properly identified and marked in such a way as to prevent their reuse and installed in any article released by MEPC
- Performs the ‘shakedown’ inspection of the delivery engine, module, or accessory and issues a Certificate of Compliance (COC) and ensures the COC and appropriate serviceable tags are completed correctly
- Operates the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other precision measurement and calibration devices
Required Skills • Able to use a computer and be able to work with software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are major parts of quality control testing.
• Mechanical skills- must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products.
• Must be able to understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards.
