Job Description
  • Chemical Cleaning & Lab Specialist should aware of the dangers of the chemicals and know how to find these chemicals in the MEPC Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) website.
  • Inspects the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) daily and ensures that he must wear the PPE properly when using these chemicals
  • Chemical Cleaning & Lab Specialist should understand the procedures and safety equipment to use in case of an accident, spill, or fire.
  • Complies with all MEPC policies and procedures including; safety, personal protection equipment, security, emergency action plan, etc.
  • Complies with Quality Maintenance standards and ensures the safety and security of the product throughout the cleaning processes to provide the highest quality product to the customer.
  • Uses the MSDS Library and be familiar with all chemicals used and what personal protection equipment (PPE) is required for each chemical, what are the hazards of these chemicals, what to do in case of a chemical spill, and what is the proper first aid treatment in case of personal injury.
  • Identifies the proper MEPC cleaning Work Instruction in accordance with the applicable references.

Required Skills

• Diploma/ Technical, vocational or University Degree in Industrial, Chemical, laboratory or equivalent.
• Preferable should have at least 2 years of progressive experience in the same field.
• Normal 20/20 vision or correctable.
• Relevant experience in the same field is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, Interpersonal skills, team spirit, Initiative and good judgment.
• Ability to read and write articulately and analytically
• A clear understanding of relevant technical skills
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety rules.
• Must be able to use a computer and be able to work with software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required
• Technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in close proximity to other people with a cooperative attitude.
